Most of us lived for the weekends. Getting through five days of classes was pretty hard, but when the weekend came, it was time to relax.
The weekend began right after supper Friday night in the hallway on the senior dorm. You waited around the phone 1o o king for transportation from anyone you could contact. If you couldn't get transportation, it meant thumbing into town. If you could get a ride, it meant waiting at the corner of the field for the Big L or someone from Seven Hills. Sometimes everybody ended up at the Village West or the good old Dahlia.
Other things that people could remember about the weekends were the parties-Amy Feinman's, Char1ie Parson's room on Parent's Weekend, the parties at Gran-Gran's and the Big L's... and the Hole.
Sunday afternoons were occupied mainly with throwing a lac r os s e ball or stalking for Wi1d Hickory Nuts on the Trail.
Most people would agree that the weekends were the best part of the school year.
