n his third year as Headmaster, Charles F. Zimmer has seen Imany changes and much growth. While 1983-84 proved to be one of the smoothest-beginning years in recent history, the best news came in November when Mr. Zimmer announced to the community that VES had indeed met the
Kenan Challenge Grant for $1,000,000, thus tripling the School's endowment. Mr. Zimmer's theme for the year was professionalism among the faculty; he continves to work hard to improve the academic status of VES.
