Throughout his many years here at YES, Bruce McCormick has been a very visible part of campus life. Whether he is busy lecturing tenth grade English students on the finer points of Shakespeare and perfecting their grammar, waking his donn with "Rise and shine!," organizng yet another trip as head of student activities, taking students out on late night "T Room" runs, or generally clowning around, "Mac", as he is affectionately known, can always be found involved in the life of the campus. He is also the fearless leader ofthe YES golfteam, which he has immortalized with his slogan, "We don't sweat, we don't get wet." A native of Halifax, Virginia, Mr. McCormick graduated from Lynchburg College before ending up here at YES in 1970. In 1992, he was the recipient of the Fulton Award, presented to the outstanding YES faculty member.
