Bernard Kyle Mundy III
Whether it's enlightening his classes on the finer points of European and Medieval Histo~ coaching the track and junior varsity football teams, or just " hanging out" with students an teachers, B. K. Mundy is a noticeable and important part of the YES community. Mr. Mund is known for expecting the best and nothing less of his students and players, but at the san time, he always has time for conversation, humor and words ofwisdom. It can be said thatI K. Mundy defines "The Full Stature of Manhood," and is a shining example for all studentsI follow.
A graduate ofYES in 1967, where he was Head Counselor, Bernard Kyle Mundy III has ha a long and distinguished career as both a student and member of the YES faculty. Mr. Munc graduated from the University of Virginia and returned to his alma mater, as a member oftl faculty. In 1981, B. K. Mundy was given a distinct honor by his colleagues, the highest awru given to a YES teacher, The Fulton Award. Mr. Mundy lives on campus with his wife, Lau: Gray, who teaches Creative Writing and is an assistant college counselor, and his two childre: Kyle and Sydna.
