  • Description:  This church is located on the Old Rustburg Road near the bridge that goes over the railroad; it is now a Methodist church. In the 1940s, the pastor of this church led Carey Falwell (owner of the Merry Garden, and father of Jerry Falwell) to the Lord soon before Mr. Falwell died. Falwell ran a service station and store on his property on the Old Rustburg Road. He not only sold gas and drinks, but also bootleg whiskey. The store and his home are still there today. His son, Gene, owns the property.
