  • Title:  Rocking Chair House
  • Description:  Built about 1811 by John Bullock on Jackson Street between 11th and 12th Streets. In 1939 Rev. William A. Smith was living there. He borrowed a cradle from Bishop John Early which would occasionally rock for no reason at all. The mystery of the rocking cradle was never solved and disappeared, but re-appeared when Bishop Early moved to Peakland in the 1930's, but without the rockers.
