Welcome

We have been rebuilding this site and have already restored more than 12,000 photos, which you can see under the Photos link. In addition we have added many maps and panoramic images which you can see in great detail (see Maps, Pans, & Aerials).

A new feature is the Documents section. We are beginning to upload many useful research documents and old resource material about Lynchburg. Check  it out.

You can also visit our retail location at the 5th Street Art House (between Bittersweet and Speaker Tree), where many prints and books are sold. Hours are 11-6, Wednesday-Saturday.

During Thanksgiving week, hackers destroyed the Lynchburg History site. We are working to restore the site to be better than before, but the process may take several months.  To read more about the hack, click here.

Thanks,

Nancy Marion
