This 1934 photo by Thomas Waterman shows a very different Point of Honor than we see today. We tend to forget the state of disrepair so many of our inest buildings have been in—and this was not the low point for Point of Honor. It looked much worse in the 1970s when it was eventually restored to its present glory.
