  • Description:  This was the Scott home, Revolutionary soldier Major Samuel Scott is buried in the family cemetery here. His son Samuel Scott II inherited the place in 1822. Later owned by the Barksdale family and it is sometimes referred to as the "Barksdale Place". The house was shelled during the Civil War and the were still visable at the time of these photographs. In recent years the house became an antique shop known as Jackson's Antiques. Picture taken in 1962.
